alright loves, it's been a while yes? my bad. I'll update on what I've been doing with my life, with no pictures after this post..
one thing i can update you on is .....that i've been prepping to take my GMAT to get my MBA, and I'm aiming for HBS.. so say a lil prayer for me as you're reading...
four must-haves for school:
1. something other than a north face backpack to carry your stuff. north face backpacks are great for hoodie days, all nighters...etc.... not when you be having a good style day. also, stray away from carrying a backpack & handbag. why carry both?! just get a bigger handbag...
2. a watch: yes, your go-to might be to check your phone to see what time it is, but be in habit to check your watch... foreshadow real world now.
3. sunglasses: i hoard sunglasses. everyone should have their go to sunnies especially on campus. that first week of school when you see acquaintances left and right.... it's the easiest way to neglect and quickly walk away, since they'll assume you didn't see them. no one wants to be that person who comes up to say hi, if there isn't mutual acknowledgment. awkward. I'm wearing some new Warby Parkers called Banks... check them out! great quality sunnies for only $95!
PS. when you have 10-15 minutes to spare in between class, selfies are always a lot easier with sunglasses on....... i would think.... =P
4. button up shirt(s): so, this may be a tad random but this is a neeeed. you can wear them dressed up or dressed down. a button up will always be business casual. this one here i bought from korea but you can find similar here:
+1 hehe, one additional item to have is a basic crewneck sweater, i got this from madewell and just purchased this one... (i have a lot of sweaters....)
So, its a new school year.. while having amazing style, don't take what you have for granted. looking back to my college years, yes i had so much fun..... but i really wish i tried harder.
take in everything you learn because you're there for a reason. communication 101.... you think it's worthless, but wait until you enter the real world and how you'll handle to communicate with every type of everyone, it matters.
Be a sponge, take in everything because one day, you'll use what you learn in some shape or form. there's a reason you pay $10k+ a year on education, so embrace it!
(note: again dont judge on my grammatical errors, it's something i'm continuously learning and working on :P)
